If another employee has asked you to swap a shift with them, you can view and action these shifts directly from WorkZone.
Once you log in to WorkZone, you can see these shifts from the 'Next shift' section on the home screen.
If the 'Pending swap' shift is the next shift you would be rostered on for it will appear on the home screen. The shift will appear with blue lines across it and the name of the employee asking for the swap will be visible here as well, as follows:
If the 'Pending shift swap' shift is NOT the next shift you would be rostered on for, you will need to tap on the 'Next shift' section, where you will see a list of all your shifts and any shifts that appear as a 'Pending shift swap'. This will include the details of the shift such as date, time and location. The name of the employee who requested the shift swap will also be displayed:
You can tap on the shift tile to see the options to either accept or decline the swap:
If you decline the swapped shift, the shift will be removed from your shifts screen and the employee (who swapped with you initially) will be notified that you cannot work the shift.
If you accept the swapped shift, either one of two scenarios will occur depending on the business's approval configuration:

The shift tile will remain on your shift screen view as an 'assigned' shift (because this is now your shift); or

The status of the shift will change to 'Proposed shift swap (awaiting approval)'. This will then require the manager or employer to accept the swap:
Once the shift swap has been approved it will appear as an accepted shift:
If the shift swap has been approved by your manager, the shift tile will remain on your shift screen view as an assigned shift.
If the shift swap has been rejected by your manager, the shift will disappear from your shift screen view.
